Forgot your password? By JaackJanuary 26 in Guides. A number of badges require you to kill a certain number of enemies. Most of these are listed as Defeat badges, although some are counted as Gladiator badges as well. There are a number of different strategies for getting hunting badges — street sweeping, farming specific missions, or getting the badges naturally through running content.

Depending on the specific badge and your goal, the best option may be different. For some badges, mainly the Praetorian hunt badges and Dark Astoria Incarnate-Level enemies, you receive more credit for defeating lieutenants and bosses, but for most badges, all enemies count equally. Apostate — Defeat p o ints worth of Incarnate-level Banished Pantheon. Start with that and then augment with hunts in The Misty Wood neighborhood in Croatoa as necessary.

These enemies are rather abundant — many arcs and task forces involve Devouring Earth and basically all Devouring Earth groups have some of these guys. For the devoted, Power Island in Independence Port is my personal favorite hunting ground, but Talos Island has a few nice hunting spots, and Eden can be good as well. If you are looking for missions, there are a number of Devouring Earth arcs available through Ouroboros — I haven't found any mission that only spawns these guys as opposed to other minions, but they seem to be the most common DE minion spawn.

Perez Park is the way to go — they come out in droves in the Boneyard neighborhood. Kings Row exists as well, but it doesn't have the same boss spawns as Perez Park. These guys spawn after a successful Hamidon defeat. Generally somewhere between 8 and 15 spawn each time a full league takes down Hamidon. With some luck, you can get this one in about eight or nine Hami kills, but it could easily take more.

Running through the Croatoa missions and finishing with the Katie Hannon Task Force should get you most of the way there. If you do need to augment with hunts, stick to the northern part of Croatoa. Castigator — Defeat points worth of Incarnate-level Talons of Vengeance. Just run the Dark Astoria arcs and you should get it — Sister Solaris is probably the best overall.

Hunting in Dark Astoria is fine if you need a couple. Running arcs in the Night Ward is a good method, but hunting them there is quick as well. That being said, as both Hordelings and Hellfrosts have their own specific badges, so you are safe to completely ignore this badge as you will get it with either of those two other badges. SFO Renault Strike Force is a very clean option to get this badge as the last mission is stocked with them, but if your team stealths it, you may not get it.

Other than that, you can hunt them in many different zones. Crey Tanks are pretty common if you are running content involving Crey, most notably the Manticore Task Force. These guys can be a bit confusing. This is one case of a Praetorian enemy where it might be better to just run the associated arcs — Noble Savage and Katie Douglass specifically.

If you need a couple more after that, hunting is best in the Night Ward.

Mystic Wardens work exceptionally well as single target elimination specialists or boss slaying for the layperson but have serious trouble when out numbered since they lack any decent ability to engage multiple targets especially multiple melee targets, also they are not particularly good at disengaging from disadvantageous situations and are likely to be forced to fight due to their class restrictions.

Mystic Wardens are great at most jobs as a whole but can often fall into the trappings of inter-party conflict or difficulties in coming to terms with their binding brand.

Mystic Wardens are always 1 size category larger than their base race and includes all potential bonuses and penalties includes a halved movement speed as a penalty this is even added if this class is multi-classed in to. Abilities: Constitution and Strength are very important as well as wisdom for the classes selection of spells. Races: Any Race that can be Non-Chaotic but humans are the most likely, Dwarves are as well, Elves and other weaker races are unlikely but still possible.

Starting Age : Complex As Wizard. Mystic Wardens are very heavy on their abilities and are very heavy and slow as a whole. All of the following are class features of the Mystic Warden. Share the Pain Sp : The Mystic Warden may only use this ability counts as a move action only on an opponent who is currently affected by Chain of Punishment the Mystic Warden may sacrifice health up to their class level plus their wisdom modifier doubled to do that many d3's sacrifice 10hp to 10d3 damage of damage to their opponent the damage is one of 3 types of the warden's choice Positive Energy cannot be used for healing only damaging undead enemies Negative Energy damage for living creatures or force energy think magic missile the damage can be halved by passing an opposing will check and all damages are subject to spell resistance.

Both the Warden and the target can choose to make a will save the one with the higher roll only takes half of the total damage while the other takes all of the total damage. If the Warden dies from this attack the enemy they targeted with this takes the wardens class level in d6's of extra damage but also gains the ability to deal double damage for 2 turns.

Most of the information in this guide was gathered through personal experience and conversations with people I have played with. That being said, some classes are definitely more suited to tanking than others, mostly because they are provided with more iframes and usually a spammable block or counter. Unfortunately, the game will put any newly created character through the main quest, which will take about hours to complete at the very least, so testing different classes is quite time-consuming.

Luckily, however, it is possible to get a limited idea of how a class will behave in PvE thanks to the training room. When you create your character, you will get the option of starting from lv 50 rather than from lv 1: doing this will put you in the training room, where you will get the chance of testing the different rotations and checking out some dungeon bosses.

While not that accurate items such as soul badges and mystic badges can alter how a class plays substantially and cannot be equipped when creating the characterit is still an acceptable preview of how a class will play out when all skills are available. It is not necessary to purchase a LV55 Voucher to access the training room in this way. The first thing that should be considered when choosing a class is whether you want to play as a ranged or as a melee character.

The main difference between the two is the fact that ranged characters can avoid most boss attacks, while melee players need to take them into consideration while doing their rotation. On the other hand, in many dungeons and raids mechanics rely on marking people that are far from the boss, which means that ranged players will usually have mechanics to do. Another thing to note is that all high-tier dungeon bosses will perform range checks. This means that, regardless of their class, the aggro holder will need to stay in melee range to tank successfully.

A consequence of this is that, as a melee character, it is more likely that you will have to tank in PUGs. There will still be a dps loss, however, it will be less impactful than when using other classes and specs. All classes are viable and required for Endgame content, however some classes will have a harder time finding a raid than others.

For example, there is a very large number of low-to-mid geared Gunslingers and Wardens compared to other classes, so it may be harder to find a spot in a raid as one of those classes. Other classes, such as Assassins and Soul Fighters, are way less prevalent in the playerbase and will have an easier time finding a slot. Soul Fighters are very useful in progression raids thanks to their revive, however they become way less important once a raid starts clearing reliably.

All seasonal rankings are class-based, so all players of different classes reaching the same rank will earn the same rewards. Low-population classes such as Destroyer, Assassin and Soul Fighter have an easier time reaching higher ranks because of the smaller pool of players. Your first 20 to 30 hours in-game will most likely be devoted to completing the story. Once you complete the Awakening quest it unlocks when your character will reach Lv 60 HM 8you should spend some time in the training room and complete the basic training: it should give an idea of how the class plays and will explain where your CC skills are and how to avoid attacks using the built-in iframes.
